Today for lunch I joined my co-workers in what has become a bit of a tradition for us on Fridays. We have all become obsessed with this website called Food Truck Fiesta, which tracks the locations of all the food trucks in DC in real time. How cool is that?
This lovely website was how we knew they were selling lobster only 4 blocks away from our office. Everybody else choose that option but I just couldn’t bring myself to spend $15 on lunch, much less lunch from a truck. So I opted for the equally amazing yet less pricey Tasty Kabob that was parked right next door. I ended up stuffing myself with lamb and rice and it was so very glorious.
Standing in line in the 100 degree weather put a bit of a damper on the whole situation, but in the end my taste buds and stomach agreed: it was so worth it.
