I wasn’t too heartbroken when one of my cleats inexplicably disappeared last fall because it was easily replaceable. The insert inside it, however, was not. Those were especially designed for my baby doll feet years ago by my old foot doctor back in my hometown. I remember well the day he made the casts because it was the best foot massage I’ve ever had.
I don’t want to even think of how much it would cost to go to a foot doctor in DC, so first I decided to give the cheap inserts a try. I had a bit of trouble finding some that would fit into my tiny shoes, but eventually I found a pair that not only fit, but also match my new indoor shoes quite well:
My feet are definitely aching after tonight’s game, but I’m hopeful that this is the breaking-in period, to be followed quickly by the my-feet-feel-amazing period.
Don’t even get me started on the fact that my game tonight didn’t start until 11:20 p.m. and I just got home at 12:45 in the morning. Tomorrow is going to be a long enough day as it is, I really hope I don’t have to deal with malfunctioning feet as well.
