26th on the 26th

I’m really glad calories don’t count on your birthday because today I have managed to eat:

A slice of coffee cake from Starbucks
A cheese quesadilla with chips and queso from California Tortilla
Leftover Skittles from the movies
Strawberry custard from Rita’s
Corned beef
A large chocolate mousse from The Flying Crane

What can I say, people kept offering to buy me food.

Going back to lunch for a minute, California Tortilla and I really have a special relationship. Case in point, today they were giving away free t-shirts for my birthday. Yes, the staff had all recently started wearing new shirts and they needed to get rid of the old ones. But that wasn’t the reason they were giving them away. It was for my birthday.

  1. I can’t believe I missed my free birthday Toyota!!

  2. The Libuncle says:

Glad you know about the Birthday Calorie Count rule. Don’t know if you were aware of it, but Calories Consumed with Company don’t count either. And the “empty calories” in wine really are empty so they don’t count either. … I guess you didn’t get the email from Panda Express on 14th NW… they were giving away free Toyotas to anyone from Illinois wearing a California Tortilla T-Shirt whose birthday was today but you had to come in to the store before 6 PM EDT to collect. Happy Birthday anyway, kiddo.
