Day 6: Donuts, trampolines, foam pit, family dinner

I’m currently on a 5,000 mile road trip through 15 states with Cecily. The following is an excerpt from today’s post on our blog, destinationinspiration2012.com.

Since we’re hanging around Houston until tomorrow to go to the space center, we got the chance to sit back and relax for the first time since we left northern Virginia last Tuesday. After catching up on some much needed computer time, we finally left the house to go to Sky High Sports, which is basically a giant trampoline park. We joined about a hundred kids in this giant room filled with dozens of trampolines on the floors and walls. Those kids put us to shame with their backflips and handsprings. We basically just jumped up and down and then collapsed in exhaustion, although Cecily managed a few flips. Megan was busy concentrating on not thinking about the time in second grade when she got bounced off a trampoline and broke her leg.

The highlight was definitely the runway of trampolines that ended in a giant foam pit. Let’s just say another item on Cecily’s bucket list can now be crossed off.
